Life insurance premium financing disclosure and acknowledgment
Any proposed policy owner (and proposed insured, if different) should understand and acknowledge the following regarding the purchase of a life insurance policy through premium financing.
1. Roles and independence
The insurance company’s only role is to provide the life insurance policy. The company is not a lender, does not endorse any premium financing lender, and is not involved in the selection, negotiation, or terms of the financing arrangement. The lender and the insurance company are independent and each responsible for its own obligations.
2. Your responsibilities
You are solely responsible for choosing the lender, negotiating loan terms, and fulfilling all loan obligations. The insurance policy’s terms and conditions cannot be changed by the lender or the financing arrangement. The obligation to pay premiums is independent of the financing arrangement.
Special note. We will provide you with qualified lenders with terms from annual, five years or twenty years, with terms and conditions and recommendations. You are always free to work with whom you prefer.
3. Risks of premium financing
Premium financing involves risks, including but not limited to:
- The lender may modify, terminate, or refuse to renew the loan.
- The lender may require a security interest in the policy, which could allow them to surrender the policy or access its cash value.
- Potential changes in interest rates, insurance costs, market conditions, or collateral value.
- The policy may not be in force at the time of the insured’s death.
4. No financial, legal, or tax advice
The insurance company has not provided, and will not provide, legal, tax, or accounting advice. You should seek independent legal and tax counsel before entering into this arrangement.
5. Policy illustration
Any policy illustration is hypothetical and based on assumptions; actual results may differ. Non-guaranteed elements may change, and loans or withdrawals from the policy may affect repayment of the financing arrangement.
